    When I opened the pages of the book, I though I would know a bit of what to expect. A timeline I remember quite well, for the events discussed by Tom took place while I was a part of the church. Yet the inclusion of Steve Leavitt and his stunning insight into the topic of life's darkest moment jarred me glued me to the pages evermore. While this might prove alarming to the patient's loved ones, this is a perfectly natural part of the end-of-life journey because the individual's body requires less energy. Coping usually involves adjusting to or tolerating negative events or realities while attempting to maintain your positive self-image and emotional equilibrium. Coping occurs in the context of life changes that are perceived to be stressful. Psychological stress is usually associated with negative life changes, such as losing a job or a loved one.
